my goals

i LOVE to set goals for myself ..and revise them periodically.  it gives me something to look forward to and means i ALWAYS have something to do, learn about, investigate, or try.

1. run my first half-marathon by the end of 2012 2013.

2. move into a fab apartment close to uptown.

3. meet tons of new peeps in my new city - and just have funnn.

4. take a painting class.

5. start the process of becoming a certified water aerobics instructor.

6. try one new recipe every week.

7. pass the boards.

8. take a PRN job at a hospital (acute or rehab) to gain more medical/fast-paced OT experience

9. send birthday cards on time to everyone in my family.

10. go skydiving.

11. become a full member of my church i have been attending since the fall and where i sing in the choir.

12. meet my daily productivity goal at least once by june 1. (i have never met it!)

13. go to AOTA conference.

14. attend a live CEU class by june 1.

15. join a volunteer organization by june 1.  (there are a couple i have been looking into...)

16. move into my new house closer to the city and get settled in and unpacked right away. :)

17. support my friend V who lives in the same city with her wedding planning for june 2014!

18. be patient with love.

19. get back into running and run 3 miles by june 1.

20. resist all communication/contact with the (ex)boy until july 1.

21.  lose 5 lbs (i know the number in my head, i promise)

22. (try to) play tennis.

23. go on a legit date by june 1.

24. no eating out on week nights for the month of may.

25. successful first vegetable/herb garden with no casualties no more than one casualty.

  1. I am a big goal setter to, and the best way to stick to them is to tell someone about them - accountability! Every year I seem to have #3, #7, and #10 on the list.

  2. agreed! everything in my life is about accountability...and deadlines and expectations and benchmarks and following through. as it happens my field (OT) is all about goal-setting too. :)
